You've never seen this island so alive, so illuminated.

Since you can remember, Smeerensburg was a place extremely cold, where erratic behavior and fights were the breakfast of every day until now.

You opened the windows with a strange calm, letting in the warm rays of the sun that managed to counteract the typical intense cold of the place but this time, there were no fights, or weapons and bodies flying.

"Good Morning!" The voice of an infant made you look out your window, lowering your gaze.

"Oh hi, sweetie, something you want?" A kind, non-irritating tone of voice now comes from your lips every day. The little girl kindly asked for a cake and you nodded.

As you entered your home to take out the freshly baked cake, you heard the screams of many kids echoing to the kitchen and the voice of that blond who, you could not deny, changed the entire atmosphere of the island. You smiled and carefully took the plate with the cake in your hands, heading back to the window.

"Yeah, yeah, I'll give him your letters" The blond answered, taking all the cards that were extended to him. "Here, sweetie" The postman turned to look at you as you carefully placed the cake into the girl's tiny hands and received the money.

All the kids had gone, leaving you alone with the postman. Putting your elbows and arms on the frame of your big window you looked at him and he approached the window.

"a lot of work, postman?" A smile curved on your lips, he let out a chuckle.

"Yeah but i'm already used to it" and the both of you stared at each other.

You still remembered how the two of you had met.

All for that bell.

The loud sound of the knife blade digging into the wooden desk top, cutting into the fish, made you jump a little from your spot. Your gaze went to the blonde who, with a frown, continued to cut at the fish.

"And will you buy or not?" Alva's deep voice made you smile a little, you denied. "I just came to see you, you're the only friend I have here"

"And Mogens?"

"He's not here or at least not as usual" She smiled.

She walked away from the desk and left, but not before telling you that she was going to check out something to eat for both of you.

Everything was going relatively well, the smell of fish was starting to irritate you and make you dizzy but you didn't want to be so bad as to leave Alva, especially since she had the warmth to share something to eat with you.

Until the battle bell rang.

An exhausted sigh left your lips, screams and blows echoed throughout the place to the school, well, to the fish market If you can give it a name. There came a point where your consciousness was no longer present, it was almost your technique to be able to get through each day in this place, actually, Alva and you were planning to leave Smeerensburg, you both have been saving for a while now.

But the sound of a door abruptly opening and closing made your eyes snap open and your plane of consciousness returned to your boring reality.

"Oh thank god, you're the one in charge or-"

"Come to the counter, I'll be right back" Alva's voice reached his ears.

"A new postman? What a determination" Your voice sounded sarcastic, which made him roll his eyes. "Why does everyone find it as a joke?"

"Well any postman ran away from here and honestly, i don't judge them" The chair creaked as you moved on it, the sound of the small heels of your boots echoing on the old wooden floor made him step back a little.

"(y/n) and you?" He lowered his gaze and saw your hand extended in his direction and, with certain distrust, he took your hand and shook it "Jesper, Jesper Johansson"

"So a new postman, huh?" You both turned your attention to the blonde woman, you nodded. "Yeah! not a client i guess" You smiled somewhat tired as you held a part of the house and Alva the things on the desk and part of a roof, at first Jesper saw this so weird until a big shake moved everything inside by most likely someone falling from the roof, Jesper looked so horrified.

"This is a thing of all days?" "Kinda" Alva and you said in unison.

The blonde took a few steps inspecting the place, he looked with disgust at the hanging fishes and their smell was strong, sometimes you wondered how Alva can handle the smell.

"This is supposed to be a school, where at the kids?" And was like that question turned on a little flame inside Alva.

You didn't know at what moment Alva was now dangerously approaching Jesper, you just watched the scene amused as you sat on the old chair. Sometimes you curse a little your constant habit of just lost in your thoughts, forgetting all your surroundings.

A hand in your shoulder made you get out of your trance completely, when you raise your gaze the figure of Mogens came across, who was more entertained than you watching the scene.

"There you are, postman!" Mogens exclaimed. "Morning, Miss Alva"

"Mogens"

"Long time to not see you" Feeling the gazes of the three of them, you pressed your lips together and moved somewhat uncomfortably in the chair. "Nevermind"

"How can i forget about you?" The black haired man put his arm around your shoulders. "What's my name?" A silence invaded. "You forgot, right?" "Yup" You rolled your eyes and stared disinterestedly at a fixed point.

"Well, back to the point, i saved the best for last!"

Alva released Jesper from the tight grip on his uniform and he quickly walked towards Mogens, already quite tired and scared of the whole place.

"Bye Bye, Jesper, good luck" The before mentioned turned his gaze seeing your figure leaning on the door frame while you waved your hand. Well, One thing he can admit is that your gaze showed honesty and complement with your words.

"Goodbye, (y/n)" The corner of his lips raised slightly and also raising his hand slightly in unison.

Now the two of them were in the center, where everything was decorated with lights, the kids running and playing, the food stalls, materials and even clothing were open and transmitted a kinder and less cold aura.

Your shawl covered your shoulders and a little of your chest, despite the beautiful visual field transmitted, the cold couldn't counteract it. The two of you walked almost in unison, seeing the whole place with the great radical change.

"It's beautiful, isn't it?" Jesper saw you when you started to speak, a lock of your hair slipped from your low ponytail, covering your face a little.

"Absolutely" A gawky voice came out of his lips but as he opened his eyes completely, you blinked three times in a row at his tone but you let out a laugh. "what was that tone, huh?" "What tone? I'm just talking as usual" Jesper stepped forward with a smile letting you a little far but without undoing your smile, you reached him.

The laughs couldn't go away, your eyes met almost as if a magnet was bringing them together again and again. Little snowflakes fell from the sky to land on your clothes, melting away as did immediate contact.

The lively music was starting to slow down but with a steady rhythm, couples were starting to get closer, sharing their warmth. Something that didn't escape Jesper's notice. For a moment he looked at you as you looked tenderly at the other couples, "It's all or nothing!" he thought.

"(Y/N) I..." You looked at him, he felt a piece of saliva slide with difficulty through his throat when he saw your face illuminated warmly by the lights, your eyes like stars shining when you saw him and your lips... oh your lips that he wanted a few months ago take. "You, Jesper?" you smiled.

Jesper looked sideways at the other couples and they all shared something in common, they were under mistletoe that served as decoration! He turned his attention back to you, taking your hands in his.

"I" smiled nervously. "You know that people say is that if two people really like each other, i mean, i'm not saying exactly us, right? But they say that if two people who, mainly like each other, stand under a mistletoe, have to kiss" he felt like his body heat increased in each word that he said.

"Jesper" Now it was you who took his hands in yours. "If you wanted to kiss me and confess you just had to tell me" he smiled and let out a little chuckle.

"Well, so that's a...?" He narrowed his eyes, playing a little. "A yes, postman"

You couldn't continue playing when you felt a hand briefly run along your jaw and cheek to the back of your neck with some hair caught in its fingers and the other on your waist, pushing your body gently against his and your lips merging with his. Something you could be thankful for at this moment, is that your consciousness was present, enough to be able to memorize his lips, his touch, his aroma, the moment.

"I told you, those were going to end up together" laughed in low Alva drinking hot chocolate, extending her hand to Moggens who handed her coins.

Coming back to the two of you, you both were so immersed in that kiss that you hadn't noticed that the other married couples had imitated the same thing as both of you: kissing under a mistletoe.

okay now that I've sat down and thought about it after the initial idea, here's a better idea of my ohshc x klaus

So, of course, it's ohshc characters in the story of klaus. If you have never seen klaus, the basic idea is that a stuck up young man is sent to a town all the way up north away from everyone and has to get 3000 letters sent by the new years. The town is split into these two families and they don't ever send letters bc they don't care about anything besides their feud. He meets this older recluse man of few words ex toymaker and the tale of Santa Claus is told and the town feud ends via selfless acts.

Of course our resident man of few words lover of animals would absolutely have to be Mori. He never wanted kids himself, but he used to live with his brother who was ecstatic about starting a family once he found someone, and Mori made toys for years and years until an accident where Satoshi was killed.

Jesper (postman) absolutely has to be Kyoya. The story would be changed a bit, instead of starting as an insufferable brat who never tries anything, he would be sent to prove himself a worthy heir to the family, and of course find the task impossible but of course he's not going to back down from a challenge, especially from his father.

I'm thinking the twins could be each side of the feud. Maybe many years ago something happened where they personally got into a fight that included the whole town, maybe it was something that happened decades ago but the previous heirs to the families had an affair and had twins, and they were driven apart, idk yet.

And Tamaki would make a really great Ms. Alva (i think thats her name) who teaches the kids to write in turn starting acts of goodwill etc. In Klaus Jesper and Alva fall in love as well that may or may not be a part of the story. I think it would be interesting to see Tamaki as someone who once was so full of life but rotted away in this city and then the life was brought back to him.

Haruhi would be Mogens. of course. Except the sarcasm is unintentional which makes it even more infuriating.

I think Hunny would be good as that little girl who couldn't speak english but Alva and Jesper helped to write a letter and Jesper always told about everything going on even though she didn't necessarily understand. While I do think it fits him, this is more because I want him to be in it and that's really the only role left.

I am thinking about switching Tamaki and Kyoya's roles though. It would follow ohshc better to have Tamaki being the driving force behind the unification and change of the town and stuff. But idk. Kyoya just feels so perfect for Jesper.
